The financial support of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis is a reflection of our gratitude for the grace that God grants us. But each of us is also endowed with unique abilities and interests that also reflect God's blessings and our service in Christ.

"The way we came to know love was that he laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth."
 - 1 John, 3:16, 18

Every November, the United Catholic Appeal asks parishioners to renew their financial or volunteer commitments. Also, you can set up an automatic donation to withdraw money from your bank account on a predetermined date. Below are examples of these forms:

Why is it important to give?
  • To thank God for blessing us.
  • To increase our faith and trust in God.
  • To support the ministries and parish needs.
  • To help us to love with sacrifice.

Options include setting up a one-time gift or setting up a recurring withdrawal weekly, bi-weekly or monthly!

Set up is easy! To begin, click here:   https://osvhub.com/saintbartholomew/funds

**Now accepting credit cards!

**Parishioners who currently have the church managing their account with Online Giving but would prefer to manage the account themselves will need to contact Doreen at the parish office.  The account can be converted to the parishioner to manage.  An email will need to be provided by the parishioner.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  - Matthew 6:21

Have you thought about where your treasure will go? The Planned Giving and Stewardship Committee recently updated the endowment funds of the parish to make it easier for parishioners to leave a lasting legacy to St. Bartholomew Parish that reflects their faith and values.  These endowment funds are listed below:

St. Bartholomew Capital Improvements and Maintenance Endowment
This endowment will provide funds for building and grounds improvement projects and maintenance at facilities of the St. Bartholomew Parish.

St. Bartholomew Total Education Endowment
This endowment will provide funds for grants to improve total Catholic education in Columbus. Potential recipients could include, but not necessarily be limited to, Adult Faith Formation, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry and St. Bartholomew Catholic School or any other St. Bartholomew Catholic Parish Educational program approved by the Pastoral Council or to be approved in the future.

St. Bartholomew Catholic School Endowment
The endowment will provide funds for the St. Bartholomew Catholic Parish School Ministry to fund ongoing operational support, provide long-term financial stability and to provide tuition assistance in the form of scholarships.

St. Bartholomew General Endowment
This endowment will provide funds for the general support of St. Bartholomew Catholic Parish.

An endowment is a fund invested to provide long-term support for a specific nonprofit organization in perpetuity. A portion of the fund is made available annually while the remaining assets are retained in the fund to provide for growth over time.

The four funds listed above are invested through the Catholic Community Foundation, Inc. (tax ID # 27-1924642) for the benefit of St. Bartholomew Catholic Parish.  Gifts can be made with cash, securities or real estate.

St. Bartholomew Catholic School has partnered with the Institute for Quality Education (IQE) as our official Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). An SGO is a state-designated 501(c)(3) that provides financial needs-based scholarships to students enrolled in non-public schools.

By giving a gift through IQE and designating it to St. Bartholomew, you will be providing needs-based scholarships to eligible incoming and current St. B's students. As a donor, not only are you providing much needed scholarships, but you will also qualify for a 50% INDIANA STATE TAX CREDIT. Additionally, the total is still eligible for a federal tax deduction. This program is not only available to individuals, but to companies as well.
