Baptism
If you have a child to be Baptized who has reached catechetical age/the age of reason 7 years of age, you and they will receive different preparation than those who are baptizing infants or young children.
Enrollment in our Sunday Children's Faith Formation classes is expected if the child is not enrolled in the Catholic School. Please contact the CFF Office for more information about Registration, current tuition fees and other important details. Classes begin each September. First Reconciliation
Preparation for First Reconcilation for children takes place as part of their preparation for First Communion. Children must be in a minimum of 2nd grade to make their First Reconciliation and have at least 1 year of general Religious Education the year prior to signing up for the Sacramental Preparation classes. Please contact the CFF Office for more information.
First Communion
For a child to receive First Communion, he or she must participate in our Sacramental Preparation classes.
Students must complete at least 1 year of age-appropriate Catholic Religious Education classes BEFORE they can be enrolled in the year-long First Communion Preparation Classes. Children must be in grade 2 or higher to receive First Communion.
Please note that those children who attend St. Bartholomew Catholic School prepare for their Sacraments during their daily religion classes and, while they are welcome to join us on Sundays, they do not need to attend Sunday School Classes unless they wish to.
